About the Attorney
Mr. Colby is a United States Marine Corps veteran and Texas-licensed attorney with significant federal government experience. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and St. Mary’s University School of Law, Mr. Colby previously served as an attorney for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
During his DHS career, Mr. Colby served as Assistant Chief Counsel for U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Atlanta and Houston, where he litigated removal proceedings, bond hearings, and detained cases before the Executive Office for Immigration Review.
He also served as Attorney-Advisor for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), providing legal counsel on major disaster responses and federal disaster grant decisions and appeals.
He now brings his extensive federal experience and proven advocacy skills to private practice in Texas, where he is committed to helping individuals, families, and businesses protect what matters most. He provides thoughtful, strategic guidance tailored to your unique circumstances.
