About the Attorney

Mr. Colby is a veteran officer of the United States Marine Corps and graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio. He is licensed to practice law by the State Bar of Texas and is a former attorney for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

During his career with Homeland Security, Mr. Colby served as an Assistant Chief Counsel for U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Atlanta, Georgia, and Houston, Texas, where he litigated all types of immigration matters before immigration courts including immigration bond hearings and detained cases. He also served as an Attorney-Advisor for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) during multiple federal responses to disasters including Hurricane Harvey in Texas, the COVID pandemic and Hurricane Ida in Louisiana where he provided legal advice to federal officials regarding disaster grant funding projects and federal procurements.

Mr. Colby now brings that wealth of experience and knowledge of federal government operations to support private individuals and businesses confronted with complex immigration, disaster grant funding and related civil litigation matters.
